Casablanca on Wall Street Saturday Night
Kingston Parks Movies Under the Stars is back again this Saturday Night to present a classic for the grown ups; the 1942 drama Casablanca sponsored by our friends at Basch and Keegan. Kids will enjoy the Children’s Day Parade on Friday night, and parents can enjoy a night just for them on Saturday night, July 13th.
We will be setting up at the intersection of Wall and North Front Streets where the Farmer’s Market was located in previous years. The street will become a pedestrian walkway by around 6:00pm (no parking and no driving) and the movie will begin at sunset – around 8:30pm. Bring a chair or blanket to get comfy for the movie. Wall Street was recently selected as one of the “10 Great Streets in America” by the American Planning Association and you will love the charm and beauty of this wonderful movie backdrop. Parking will be available at municipal lots on North Front Street, the County Building, Deitz Stadium, and on-street. The Citibus Trolley will also be running a loop throughout the City both before and after the film. Come early and pick up some movie treats at the Kingston Candy Bar, Boitson’s Restaurant or Dominick’s Cafe (all generous sponsors of the Movies project) or stay late for drinks at one of the many night spots in Uptown Kingston.
We’ll see YOU at the Movies!
