Each week we are visiting a new location to showcase the fabulous public spaces in our community. Parking is always at a premium so please consider carpooling or hopping aboard the Citibus Jitney Trolley that will be running free of charge each week.
The Kingston Citibus historic Jitney Trolley will do a special run each movie night!
Pick-ups each week will begin at 7:00pm with a 10:30pm pick-up from each Movies Under the Stars location for your return trip. The bus will run on a loop until the movie starts. Here are the stops in the order that the bus will run:
Colonial Gardens/Stuyvesant Charter
Kingston Plaza – by Hannford and MAC
Cornell Street Lot
Garraghan Drive – Springbrook Village

Week 1. Saturday, June 22, When Harry Met Sally, Gallo Park
Located at the foot of Broadway and the intersection of the Strand, T.R. Gallo West Strand Park is in the heart of the city’s Rondout Business District. Come early to dine at some of the local restaurants and make it dinner and movie night. Parking available on-street and in the municipal lot.
Week 2. Friday, June 28, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Hasbrouck Park
Hasbrouck Park is located on Delaware Avenue adjacent to John F. Kennedy Elementary School. The movie will play at the upper portion of the park near the ball field. Parking will be available within the park in designated areas, but will be very tight so please consider the Trolley.
Week 3. Friday, July 5, The Sand Lot, Barman Park/The Knothole Field
Located on Greenkill Ave. at the Intersection of South Clinton across from the Boys & Girls Club. Parking available on-street.
Week 4. Saturday, July 13, Casablanca, Wall Street & North Front
This event will take place on-street at the former location of the Farmers Market, with Wall being closed to traffic. Parking available at Deitz Stadium, on-street and at the two North Front lots. Come early to grab a drink and dinner at one of the many restaurants in Uptown.
Week 5. Friday, July 19, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Kingston Point Beach
Kingston Point Beach is located on Delaware Avenue in Downtown Kingston. Kingston Point Beach is on your left (north side) and there is a small parking lot adjacent to the beach and ample parking across the street and on-street.
Week 6. Friday, July 26, The Lion King, Forsyth Park & Nature Center
Parking will be restricted by the nature center. There is a small lot by the tennis courts, entry on Lucas Ave. or ample parking at Deitz Stadium.
Week 7. Friday, August 2, The Princess Bride, Cornell Park
Cornell Park is located on Wurts Street near the Historic Rondout area. Parking will be available on-street and we will also be seeking permission from local churches located on Wurtz Street to use their lots as well. The Trolley will be a good bet for this evening. Cornell Park is not handicapped accessible.
Week 8. Friday, August 9, West Side Story, Rotary Park
From Broadway, take Delaware Avenue all the way down to Kingston Point. At the end of the road, look for the metal gates to Rotary Park on the right. There is on-street parking and a lot located on Delaware.
Week 9. Friday August 16, Back to the Future, Hutton Park
Hutton Park is located on Grant Street and Clifton Avenue in Kingston. Parking will be available on-street.
Week 10. Friday, August 23, Men in Black, Academy Green Park
Academy Green is located on Albany Avenue, Clinton Avenue and Maiden Lane in Uptown Kingston. Parking is available at the County Building lot and on-street.
